ok, I hang around a lot in the BDSM Forum, it’s great, even if you are non involved in the lifestyle there are lots of friendly people, we have laughs, jokes, talk about politics, food, religion, tv, movies and cultural difference (that I have cultcha 
and they don’t innit)
On the whole, this place is great, non-judemental and open to all, although there are occaisonally the odd person who is either rude or clueless. There are other places on the grid that are not so good – the amount of times I have been in places like House of V, Bondage Ranch or Bound and Determind and been told by a ‘Master’ that I am not a submissive, that I ‘need’ this, ‘need’ that – how dare they? they do not know me! they haven’t even had a 2 minute conversation with me!
It makes me so mad, that these men or women, strutting around with a Master or Mistress tag above their head entitles them to criticise other people around them, anyone can make a tag.
What I normally tell them is that I don’t like self proclaimed Masters, I already have a Dom, that I’m very happy with, and that there are as many variations in D/s and BDSM as there are leaves on a tree.
What worries me most about these people is that if they come into contact with people who have no experience, they will teach them bad habits, and possibly hurt them.
